“My name is Jack and I had Mrs. Mebane for 2 years in middle school. Until I had her class- I never truly loved my instrument.  Mrs. Mebane truly sparks an enjoyment of music into the student that inspires them to achieve.

She is always such a joy to work with- and has offered valuable insight to me at all levels of my playing career so far. Some of her practice methods and ideals of how to progress in a musical sense I still use to this day- and helped me get a seat at this years Eastern Regional Orchestra. I urge any aspiring stringed musician to listen to what she has to say, and highly recommend her to any young artist with high hopes.

She truly understands how to work with a student- how to play to their strengths or weaknesses. In music- being praised is just as important as being critiqued. Mrs. Mebane is very well-versed in constructive criticism, and never makes the student feel bad while still addressing the problem in a straightforward manner. No musician will impress without their fair share of mishaps.

I hope that a potential student or a parent / guardian reads this and understand why I so highly rate Mrs. Mebane. When it comes to my experiences musical education so far- Mrs. Mebane’s teachings and classes have been such a bright spot.”

“With lessons from Ms. Mebane, I learned fundamentals that I didn't learn in the past. Just correcting my posture helped improve my music. Her attention to detail with students helps them achieve greatness. Her passion for music spreads to students and makes them want to learn the violin.” -Madelaine B.
